This Privacy Policy explains what information CraftBound (“we”, “us”) collects when you play the game or visit our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect the minimum needed to run the game, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in through a third-party provider such as Google or Discord, we receive your display name, email address, and account identifier from that provider. We never see or store your password.

Game data. We store your in-game progress, including your hero, inventory, vault contents, recipes, unlocked biomes, and purchase history, so the game works across sessions and devices.

Technical data. We collect basic device and log information (browser type, IP address, crash reports, timestamps) to keep the game secure and running well.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to operate and improve the game, save your progress, provide customer support, prevent cheating and abuse, and send you service messages about your account. If you turn on the optional “Feature my hero” setting on the Hero page, we may include your hero render and equipped gear in CraftBound YouTube Shorts. That setting is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

3. Children

CraftBound is designed to be family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region) without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run the game (such as hosting and payment processing), when required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of the game. These providers may only use your information to provide services to us.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep it longer.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by contacting us. We respond to all requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

7. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the game or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
