Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CraftBound, including our website, game client, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or playing CraftBound, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Your account

You sign in to CraftBound through a supported identity provider. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your provider account secure. You must meet the minimum age required in your region to create an account; younger players need a parent or guardian’s permission.

2. License to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except where the law permits it.

3. Virtual items and currency

Items, shards, cosmetics, and other in-game content are virtual. They have no real-world monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, and may not be sold, traded, or transferred outside the game. We may adjust, rebalance, or discontinue virtual content to keep the game fair and fun. Purchases are final except where required by law.

4. Fair play

CraftBound is built to be fair. In turn, you agree not to:

• use bots, scripts, exploits, or unauthorized third-party software;
• buy, sell, or share accounts or virtual items for real money;
• harass, threaten, or abuse other players;
• upload content that is unlawful, hateful, or inappropriate for a family-friendly game;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.

5. Your content

You may be able to submit content such as hero names or images. You keep ownership of your content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use it to operate and promote the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe anyone’s rights.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, and you may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. On termination your license ends and you lose access to your account and virtual items. Where the violation is minor, we will normally warn you first.

7. Changes to the Service

CraftBound is a live game. We may add, change, or remove features, content, and biomes over time, and we may update these Terms as the game evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the game or by email before they take effect.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CraftBound is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless applicable law gives you the right to a different venue.
